PCI Compliance Deadline
Visa announced a compliance acceleration program last December aimed at online retailers. Visa set a Sept. 30 deadline for compliance for level one merchants and a deadline of Dec. 31 for level two merchants.
Noncompliant merchants will face monthly fines and be charged higher commissions on transactions.
If your organization directly interacts with, or supports, online credit card transactions via a
Web-based application or interface, PCI requirements must be complied with.
